I love writing, taking photos and being an artist, but or me reading is pure bliss.MY imagination running wild with an author’s description. The visiting of far away places and those place that only exit in fantasy. Living the characters’ lives along with my own knowing a new friend is waiting when I open a book or turn a page.
Bliss, there is nothing like a good story that help you escape day to day living. Hundreds of pages of jpyand when the story ends, you wish it would go on and on. Sometimes I start reading the book over again because I don’t want to let it go.
The joy of reading has been enhanced since the dawn of Kindle. I have over 700 books in my library of any and ever thing you can think of. Adult Friction, male/male(has become a favorite) Stephan King( I have loved since Salem’s Lot) crime, mystery, fantasy, non-fiction, you name it I have something in my library. I used to have hundreds of printed books but donated them to organizations that will help others read and replaced some of them on Kindle. When I travel I can take as manay books as I want and still be able to read. Live in another world. Live the life of the characters. And have pure bliss.
I am on Day One of Blogging 101. I started this journey a year ago but was unable to complete it due to unforeseen circumstances. This is something I have wanted to do for a long time, exploring life and sharing through blogging, writing, art and photography. I have always wanted to be a published writer, ideas float around d in my head and I write whole stories in my mind while driving around town. There is something or someone that I see and it inspires me and before I know it there is a whole story but I have been keeping these stories to myself only letting a few trusted read them. I am also over 50 and feel that life is just begginning. I am rediscovering my love of art and photography. Invested in a camera and art supplies and run wild taking pictures and creating art. I stopped working a couple of years ago due to an injury that lead to lots of pain. While recovering I thought a great deal about what I want to do with the next chapter of my life. Do I want to go back to corporate America when my doctors release me or do I want to enjoy life. Needless to say life won. So since I am still not allowed to work I decided to observe life, write, take pictures and enjoy the person that I have always wanted to be. Blogging is just the beginning. Where I go from here is a journey that I invite you to take with me. I am working on a book project with a friend relating our parallel journeys in life and how we became partners in crime. I live in a big noisy city in the west coast and having g lived places like Las Vegas, New Hampshire and even London, I am at a crossroads of where I want to live and where I will get the most inspiration. Who am I? Well that remains to be seen in the days ahead. Who I am today, isn’t who I will be tomorrow.
